I credit Francine Pascal for nurturing my lifetime love affair with reading - and for inspiring me to write my own stories. The Sweet Valley High
I can vividly remember reading late into the night under the covers with a flashlight, my Holly Hobbie canopy bed transformed into the town of Sweet Valley. As a child living through a tragic divorce, it was an ideal world where everything was happy and "right." I can't fathom how dark those days could have been if not for the imagination of Francine Pascal.
So, imagine my delight when I read that a new book was being released! I downloaded the sample chapters today and read through them in about thirty minutes, delighted to see my old friends, if only in my memories. The beginning has definitely solidified the need to read the entire book.
One problem... I'm terribly frugal
Okay, writing this solidified that I need immediate gratification! I'll keep you posted when I've finished...
Stay tuned and happy reading!
Ahhhh Sweet Valley. I tore through those books and played the silly dating game. I always wanted to be Elizabeth.
