About Me

My Photo
I am an avid reader, animal lover, devourer of guacamole, storyteller and the author of An Unexpected Obsession, A Dose of Reality, Witch Way, A Coven by Christmas, Love Spells (coming soon), Flirting With Death, and the rest of the upcoming Assassins Anonymous series. I attended Arizona State University (go Sun Devils!) and make my home in the Valley of the Sun with my husband and two pampered pets. I like to discuss everything funny, sexy, sassy and absurd. But mostly I like to talk about books... and shoes... and outrageously expensive purses... and Chanel sunglasses ...oooh, and anything sparkly... or fluffy! So, come on in and let's chat!

Voodoo doll costume - I made it for my hubby!!!

It is hard to get my husband into the Halloween spirit, but when I told him I would make his costume his interest was raised considerably. Now, he's a pretty big guy, 6'4" and about 240lbs., so "off-the-rack" never works. I had a bolt of burlap that I'd been considering making into curtains and thought... hmm, voodoo doll? I used dowel rods and Styrofoam balls for "pins"... a little spray paint and tada! It was fun and I can't believe how well it turned out since I didn't even have a pattern.

What do you think? I definitely recommend as an inexpensive do-it-yourself costume idea! The only downside is we live in Arizona and even on Halloween it's pretty warm here - the hood didn't stay on for long. Everywhere else? try it!
